Ways to Help

There are lots of ways to help Predator Free Tamahere.

Whether you have a garden or gully, practical skills, local knowledge, or simply want to support local wildlife, every contribution helps.

Predator Free Tamahere is a volunteer-led community conservation project helping protect native wildlife across Tamahere's gardens, gullies and river corridors.

Share local knowledge

Tell us if you're already trapping or baiting, have seen pest activity, know about a gully or bush block that could benefit from predator control, or have useful local contacts.

Join our Trap.NZ project and record your catches there, or simply contact us and tell us what's happening on your property.

Come along or volunteer

Attend one of our community events, help check traplines, assist with trap maintenance, or lend your practical skills in other ways. Whether you can help occasionally or more regularly, we'd love to hear from you.

Sponsor traps or equipment

Help us provide traps, bait stations and monitoring equipment for priority habitat areas. Your support helps extend predator control into places where it can make the biggest difference for native wildlife.

Donate or Give a Trap

Every donation helps us support more landowners, volunteers and priority habitat across Tamahere. You can donate directly or contribute a trap through our Give a Trap programme.

Stay connected

Follow us on Facebook, come along to community talks, or share our project with neighbours who might like to get involved. Every conversation helps grow community support for predator control.

Thank you

Whether you contribute your time, knowledge, equipment, funding or simply tell us what's happening on your property, you're helping create safer habitat for native birds, bats and other wildlife across Tamahere.
